Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Consultants to Grow with Us (deadline: 12 Sep 2019)

Seefar has been innovating in consulting work on monitoring and evaluation for five years with experts from all backgrounds and spread across the world. Because our monitoring and evaluation consulting service has been doing so well, we now need even more great people to work with us and join our network of consultants available for short-term assignments.

Job Description

We thrive when we put our variety of backgrounds and expertise together to help empower vulnerable communities and work with them to build a better future. Our monitoring and evaluation practice achieves this by reviewing and assessing programmes supporting IDPs and refugees in Afghanistan, monitoring and evaluating rule of law projects or the Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation programmes.

We work with the European Commission, the UNODC, the British Council and various Foreign Offices/Ministries of European Governments, all with equally strong ethics and passion. For further donors and supporters, see here. Here are some of the things previous donors and partners have told us about our monitoring and evaluation work:

“We appreciated your openness to critique”

We provided constructive critiques, and you were able to respond very professionally”

“Due to several changes in timing from our side the consultant had to be extremely flexible – and was so”

We are looking for people who want to meaningfully contribute to our cause. In particular, we’re looking for monitoring and evaluation experts with a strong track record in the following themes: migration, social inclusion, and security and justice.

After the first initial review, we will contact those who passed for an introductory interview. They will then be added to our pool of experts and reached out to when applying for consulting assignments. You will be supported by a dynamic team of project managers, researchers, analysts, project coordinators, graphic designers and more.

Excellent candidates include mid-level to senior consultants, interested in short-term assignments (less than 9 months) and available at short notice. You can be based anywhere in the world and travel may be required depending on the assignment.

An Excellent Candidate

You have noticed patterns of what works well and does not work well in this kind of work. You want to work autonomously but you appreciate the support of an effective team that will help you to succeed – and enjoy – challenging consulting assignments.

You would have at least five years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation. Your written and spoken English is excellent. You have delivered assignments successfully in the following regions: North Africa, East Africa, West Africa and the Sahel, the Middle East, South Asia, East Asia, or Europe.
