Empowering Uganda’ s Most Vulnerable People
As many countries weaken their commitment to vulnerable people and refugees, Uganda stands apart as a progressive model of community-based protection and refugee integration. Yet millions of people remain vulnerable despite stark needs, including urban refugees. These women, men and children are acutely vulnerable to exploitation. But with a few simple changes that engage community-based organisations, these people could support themselves and thrive. These simple and cost-effective solutions include sustainable psychosocial support, innovative community-based livelihoods projects, and improved information delivered in an evidence-based manner.
