Call for CVs: Education Specialists
(deadline: 28 Feb 2021)

Seefar is looking for education specialists interested in short-term consulting assignments (not more than nine month-periods) with a strong track record in one or more of the following areas: psychology & education, technology in the classroom, and/or capacity building of teachers in areas of low resources.

Job Description

Seefar has been innovating for five years with experts from all backgrounds and spread across the world. We thrive when we put our variety of backgrounds and expertise together to help empower vulnerable communities and work with them to build a better future.

One of the ways we want to empower communities is by improving education, especially for people in places with few resources. Because our education consulting service has been doing so well, we now need even more great people to work with us.

We work with the likes of the European Commission, Global Fund to End Modern Slavery, the British Council and various Foreign Offices/Ministries of European Governments, all with equally strong ethics and passion. For further donors and supporters, see here.

We are looking for people who want to meaningfully contribute to our cause. In particular, we’re looking for education experts with a strong track record in one or more of the following areas: psychology & education, technology in the classroom, and capacity building of teachers in areas of low resource.

After the first initial review, we will contact those who passed for an introductory interview. They will then be added to our pool of experts and reached out to when applying for consulting assignments. You will be supported by a dynamic team of project managers, researchers, analysts, project coordinators, graphic designers and more.

Excellent candidates include mid-level to senior consultants, interested in short-term assignments (less than 9 months) and available at short notice. You can be based anywhere in the world and travel may be required depending on the assignment.

Current and former consultants have noted the points below as negative features of Seefar’s work environment and culture:

  • Collaborating with geographically dispersed teams requires flexibility and patience.
  • Working remotely can make you feel isolated and so requires you to invest time in communication.

An Excellent Candidate

To excel while working with Seefar you would have experience of education consulting assignments in the international development sector or in low resource communities. You are drawn to challenge and innovation. You want to work autonomously but you appreciate the support of an effective team that will help you to succeed – and enjoy – challenging consulting assignments.

You would have at least seven years of professional experience in education. Your written and spoken English is excellent. You have delivered assignments successfully in the following regions: North Africa, East Africa, West Africa and the Sahel, the Middle East, South Asia, East Asia, or Europe.
