Project Coordinator – Morocco

Seefar is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator with complete fluency in French and Arabic, and a strong grasp of English, for an educational outreach campaign in Morocco on the risks and realities of irregular migration. The campaign will target 13-18 year old students, teachers and parents. 

You will have demonstrated project coordination experience delivering strategic communications projects in North Africa; have thematic experience on, and a strong interest in irregular migration and educational outreach; enjoy working in a high performing team from multiple countries. You must be based in Morocco and may have the opportunity to travel around the country.

This is a part time position (estimated 2.5 days per week) with flexible working hours. 

Contract duration: 12 months, with an estimated start date of 1 April 2024.

Contract currency: EUR

An Excellent Candidate

To excel in this role, you will have the following experience and capacities: 

  1. Be based in Morocco. Preferably in Northern Morocco.
  2. Have an undergraduate degree.
  3. Have 5 years experience implementing projects in North Africa.
  4. Have strong and demonstrable project management skills.
  5. Have excellent computer literacy and access to the internet. Experience with Google Suite would be an advantage. 
  6. Have complete fluency in written and spoken French and Arabic. Have a strong grasp of English.

Responsibilities

​ The following are the primary responsibilities of the role:

  • Conduct desk research and assist with the production of the inception report, messaging manual and other key project documents.
  • Assist with the recruitment and training of the field team.
  • Supervise the field team and provide support when necessary.
  • Ensure the link between the project team and field team.
  • Complete administrative and financial tasks as needed.
  • Engage and build strong relationships with local stakeholders.
  • Provide insights on the local context.
  • Translate tools and other short documents into French or Arabic. 
  • Represent and demonstrate the Enterprise’s values.
