Summary
Seefar is seeking a Senior Content Producer to develop and deliver a series of high-quality videos focused on migration. These videos will primarily support donor objectives under its ongoing projects in Iraq and must adhere to donor branding guidelines. Videos will be showcased on Seefar’s website and social media platforms to engage donors and the general public. As a byproduct, content may be repurposed or adapted to reinforce Seefar’s broader communications efforts, provided alignment with project objectives is maintained.
The Senior Content Producer will be responsible for producing up to three videos per month, primarily repackaging existing content from Seefar’s archive and sourcing additional material where required (including through AI-supported tools).
The role will report directly to the Strategic Communications Manager, ensuring consistency with Seefar’s brand, messaging, and mission.
Start date: 12 January 2026
Fee: GBP 15,000 on successful delivery, pro rated for partial delivery
Duration: Full-time 3 month position till 31 March 2026
Location: Iraq but other locations considered. This is a remote consultancy, but the consultant might be asked to travel based on the nature of the project, initiative and concrete deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Video production and editing
- Edit and repackage Seefar’s existing video content into a coherent video series
- Produce new video content as and where required, including AI-supported sourcing
- Ensure all video outputs meet high production and ethical standards
Storytelling
- Develop compelling visual and narrative storytelling aligned with Seefar’s messaging and priorities.
- Collaborate closely with the Strategic Communications team to refine story ideas.
- Provide recommendations for content improvement and strategic adjustments.
- Deliver edited, high-resolution videos ready for publication.
- Produce concise written captions or scripts that align with Seefar’s style guide
- Ensure all content is accurate, ethical, and sensitive to migration-related risks.
Website & Digital Asset Management
- Upload videos and related content to Seefar’s website and social media platforms
- Support basic performance tracking and analytics as required
Deliverables
- Three videos per month, each 2–3 minutes in length
- Each video must also be adapted into shorter formats for LinkedIn and Seefar’s website.
Video content will be discussed.
An Excellent Candidate
This role requires someone who has the skills, knowledge and experience listed under the “Essential criteria” heading below. A strong candidate will also meet one or more of the “Desirable criteria”.
Essential criteria
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in videography and visual storytelling
- Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality visual content, preferably in a documentary or humanitarian context
- Proven experience in storytelling related to human rights, gender equality, or social impact
- Strong writing and editing skills with a portfolio of published work on gender equality or social issues
- Ability to translate complex topics into accessible messaging for a variety of audiences
- Strong copywriting and visual storytelling skills
Additional Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with AI tools and animation for content development
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Experience of working within the migration, social development or humanitarian/development sector.
- Knowledge of conflict-sensitive or stigma-aware communication
- Fluency in Arabic is desirable but not essential
