Improving cooperation between Lebanon‘s communities and their security services is a big challenge, but critical to strengthening the rule of law in Lebanon. Seefar feels privileged to have the opportunity to provide a contribution to the monitoring and evaluation efforts of Search for Common Ground in their work supporting the Internal Security Forces and the people of Beirut to find cooperative solutions to community safety.
Our job is to provide a mid-term evaluation of the pilot project, including a structured community survey of over 300 people, key informant interviews and a review of documentation to date. We’re looking forward to delivering findings, conclusions and recommendations with a view to helping improve impact for the remainder of the project – and a contribution to security and justice for Lebanon.
